You can come any Saturday in July and August from 10-1 pm and join in on what we are doing for the day. We would like to share about our work and get to know you. Please bring your friends and family; all ages are welcome. We can recommend some good restaurants for lunch, and if you're feeling adventurous, we have a scavenger hunt we can give you to explore Hamtramck. If it is your first time, please complete the form below. After the first time, you can get our cell numbers and text us to let us know you're coming back. We are there at other times, from March through October, so please get in touch with us if you want to go on a different day.
Group Volunteering
We host volunteer groups big and small from companies, youth groups, scout troops, and more. We host work teams that come for a half day, and we also host teams from two days to a week or longer. We are flexible if you give us time to plan. When groups come, we like to have a project. We have many routine tasks, but projects give most people a sense of accomplishment as they see something started and finished. We encourage groups to help contribute towards project costs whenever possible. It is fun to have people come back and see the things they help build used by people in the community.
